An important step forward. After the summit in the Prefecture in Nuoro last Thursday, the first appropriations arrive in Tossilo. One million euros from the regional labor council, which reopens hope for a less uncertain future for the workers concerned and for the local area .

«The Prefect of Nuoro communicated this important news to me - says the mayor of Macomer, Antonio Succu - with the allocation by the Councilor for Labor Ada Lai of one million euros for the workers of Tossilo Spa, who are in serious economic suffering. This is the first result of the table convened in Nuoro by the prefect last Thursday. We are now awaiting the convocation in Cagliari by the president of the regional council of the same council and of the joint commissions of productive activities and the environment".

The mayor of Borore, Tore Ghisu, shares the same opinion: «A big step forward. It allows us to look at problem solving with greater certainty and overcome the difficulties that prevent the concrete start-up of the plants». Satisfaction is expressed by the workers and the unions. «The funding from the Department of Labor - says Antonio Delitala, president of Tossilo Spa - above all allows the company to pay salaries to the employees and allows the start-up of the composting platform, bearing the costs for the next six months. It is indispensable - adds Delitala - also to start the industrial process of Tossilo Spa, to the advantage of a large number of Municipalities. All this has important social and economic repercussions throughout central-northern Sardinia».
