Macomer: no requirements, the Province blocks the start-up of the Tossilo plants

The requirements are missing, so the start of testing of the Tossilo plants is sensationally blocked by the Province of Nuoro, with a letter sent to the Industrial Consortium of Macomer, for information to the President of the Region and to the various departments, to the Prefect, to the Mayor of Macomer, Arpas, Asl of Nuoro, to Tossilo Spa, to the Fire Brigade and other bodies.
There are about twenty critical issues found. In the letter, the Province writes among other things: «as far as it is concerned, the conditions to be able to start up the plant for technical and administrative testing do not currently exist». A bolt from the blue, which took everyone by surprise. The testing, started last January 30, with the conferment by the 147 municipalities of Northern Sardinia , was creating some perplexity among citizens .
Perplexities raised in a long document by the representative of Europa Verde, Gian Luca Atzori. «I believe that the intervention of the Province falls within the logic linked to the protection of the environment and communities», says the mayor of Macomer, Riccardo Uda. «We need to start with all the papers in order and not with emergencies. The regulations must be respected».
