The Tossilo industrial area has been affected by yet another power outage. This serious power outage is halting production at several major companies located there. The latest outage occurred Thursday evening and was reportedly resolved only this morning.
For companies, this is a situation that has been dragging on for some time, particularly during periods of bad weather but also during the summer , causing production to stop and irreversible damage to some machinery and electronic components of the machines used by various companies to carry out their business activities.
The situation is reportedly compromised in the power substations, one of which appears unusable even for Enel workers. All companies are requesting emergency intervention to resolve the problem.
Alessandro Porcu, Provincial Councilor and Deputy Mayor of Borore, protested in a document : "The situation is no longer sustainable. It is unacceptable to operate in a context where the cabins and electricity distribution lines are in ruins. I am asking Enel to carry out extraordinary maintenance work to permanently resolve the reported problems. I also intend to raise the issue with the Prefect of Nuoro."
The consortium's liquidator, Mario Zacchino, added : "The electrical outages can no longer be considered episodic: they are causing serious damage and costs to businesses, with repercussions on jobs and the competitiveness of the region. Urgent and decisive action is needed, with a technical plan and a clear timeline."
Pierpaolo Milia, president of Confindustria : "The situation is paradoxical and, rather than improving, it's getting worse with the passage of time. We're tired of pushing Enel to solve the problems, when in fact the centrality of the Tossilo industrial zone should attract many new businesses. We don't even have regular operation of our plants due to the constant blackouts. We'd better all go to Cagliari or Olbia. These blackouts have caused material damage related to the replacement of machinery."
