The boy was airlifted to the hospital in Sassari. A second young man was taken to Nuoro by ambulance, while the third suffered only minor bruises.

A serious accident occurred last night in Macomer, along the provincial road leading from the town to Mount Sant'Antonio, where the local community is currently celebrating its festival.
A Giulietta with three young people on board was involved, which ended up off the road and overturned.
One of the three occupants was seriously injured and airlifted to the hospital in Sassari. Another young man was taken to the hospital in Nuoro. The third young man suffered only minor bruises.
The boys reportedly explained that the accident was caused by an animal that suddenly crossed the road, forcing the car to brake sharply: the exact circumstances, however, will need to be clarified by law enforcement.
Emergency responders from 118 and the Carabinieri were on site.
