A lightning storm was unleashed between the end of the morning and early afternoon in front of the eastern coasts of Sardinia: thousands of electrical discharges were released by a storm front that is raging mainly on the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Arpas, the decentralized functional center of the regional civil protection, for today foresees "very cloudy sky with isolated rainfall, also of a downpour or thunderstorm nature, with weak cumulative rains in the eastern and southern sectors".

The winds will be weak from the South-East (scirocco) tending to move from the South-West (libeccio) from the late evening.

For tomorrow, on the other hand, isolated precipitations are not excluded, even of a reverse nature, with weak cumulatives in the western sector. An abatement of cloud cover is expected from the afternoon.

Despite the phenomena on the sea, no warning of criticality due to hydrogeological risk has been issued .
