The urgent medical transport from Alghero to Genoa carried out by an Air Force Falcon 50 ended late at night, which allowed a little girl of just 2 days, in imminent danger of her life, to receive the life-saving treatment she needed .
The military transport aircraft of the 31st Stormo di Ciampino took off from Alghero and landed in the airport of the free capital around 3:20.
Also on board the F 50 was the mother and a medical team who assisted the little girl during the flight to reach the Ligurian capital. An ambulance has completed the transfer from Genoa airport to the Gaslini hospital.
The request for transport, as required by the emergency procedures, was sent by the Prefecture of Sassari to the Top Situation Room of the Command of the Air Force, the operations room of the Air Force which has among its tasks also that of arranging and managing this type of mission through the activation of one of the aircraft that the Armed Forces has ready 24 hours a day, in various bases, for this kind of need.
