More cameras along the streets and a permanent task force , coordinated by the Nuoro Police Headquarters, which will implement the security measures that will be included in a memorandum of understanding to avoid the risk of attacks on armored vehicles.

After yet another robbery, the one that occurred on January 31st on the 131 near Siligo , in which five people were injured, the security institutes are demanding answers. This afternoon they participated in the Committee for public order and safety convened by the prefect of Nuoro Giancarlo Dionisi .

Present, in addition to the presidents of the supervisory institutes of the province, were the heads of the police forces, the managers of Anas and the territorial secretaries of CGIL, CISL, UIL and UGL.

Among the measures already planned are the use of innovative technologies to prevent attacks and encourage rapid intervention by the police when a robbery occurs . A collaboration between Anas, the Province and the Municipalities is also being studied to increase the number of cameras along the roads.

«We are working to guarantee preventive measures to avoid dangers to human lives - said prefect Dionisi - in particular we are trying to implement communication procedures with the Police , use technology better to preserve the safety of employees, try to concentrate smaller sums of money in the same van and reinforce the presence of cameras along the road. We will put the measures agreed on in black and white in a Memorandum of Understanding which we will then share with the other Prefectures of the other provinces ."

In a note the Ugl proposed "the hiring of an additional guard to be sent ahead with an unmarked vehicle" , says the territorial secretary of Nuoro Simone Testoni.
