The case may also make you smile, but if the complaints filed with the Carabinieri prove to be well-founded, it will also bring a lot of trouble. The story is that of two donkeys stolen in Olbia in 2015, Baingia and Piricocco . The victim of the theft had made peace with it, but recently he learned that his Baingia is located on a piece of land in the countryside of Berchidda . And it is this last circumstance that has led to the opening of an investigation for the receiving of stolen goods and, it is not excluded, also for the laundering of the stolen animals.

According to the documents of a file opened after a complaint filed with the Carabinieri, the donkey's documents were illegally modified (a sort of "passport" with microchip number, sex, breed, coat, characteristic marks, vaccinations, date of birth, changes of ownership and data of the last owner). The falsification of the documents could have been functional to the sale of the animal .

Not only that, if it were to be demonstrated that the data from Baingia and Piricocco were used to request regional funds, another front of investigation would open.

Lawyer Lia Deiana is assisting the owner of the animals, but she did not want to comment on the case pending the decisions of the judiciary.
