Large fire between San Gavino and Sanluri: very high flames driven by the wind

Big fire in the countryside between San Gavino Monreale and Sanluri .

The flames, driven by the strong wind , attacked the uncultivated fields, quickly heading towards the hamlet of Sanluri Stato.

Dozens of round bales were burned, with ranchers trying desperately to save the hay by moving it even by hand.

The first to reach the area, after the alarm, were the volunteers of the Civil Protection who, however, had to give up and move away due to the very high flames .
Dense smoke has invaded the highway that connects your towns and traffic has slowed down.
