Lanusei, theft in the cathedral: thieves steal the offerings

Stolen the offerings in the church of Santa Maria Maddalena , the cathedral of Lanusei .

The episode happened in recent days while the sacred place was open and unattended. The amount of the theft is not clear . The dimensions that the phenomenon is assuming in more recent times worries the clerical apparatus.

In recent weeks, two raids have been carried out in Tortolì, in the churches of Sant'Andrea and San Giorgio . In the first case the thieves stole four brass candlesticks and a copper brazier . The presumed perpetrators, two Moroccan citizens , were reported by the Carabinieri of Tortolì for aggravated theft. Investigations are still ongoing in San Giorgio: even there a petty thief stole the offerings.
