A pile of bones and many mysteries. The Carabinieri of the Lanusei company, during a control service on the territory, found some bones in a small ravine. The discovery occurred in the upper part of the town, in the Gennauara district. The news in a few hours went around the town, spread by common curiosity, without waiting for the prudence required in these cases. The military sent the findings to the scientific investigation departments, from which they await the first answers. First of all with respect to the very nature of the bones. In fact, it is not excluded, since there is no visual evidence, that they could be animal bones.
The first, terrible thought for many Lanusei residents, immediately went to Giancarlo Contu, the former goalkeeper of Lanusei Calcio who disappeared into thin air in December of last year. They searched for him for months, hoping that the lucky discovery of some time before could be repeated. But despite the searches having covered vast areas in Lanusei, Ilbono and the surrounding areas, there was no trace of the pensioner. However, it cannot be ruled out that the finds are much older. Only conjectures awaiting the answers that the bones themselves will be able to provide.
