Lanusei, a 45-year-old woman dies and donates her liver: the sample taken at the Lanusei hospital

A liver harvest was performed at the Nostra Signora della Mercede di Lanusei on a 45-year-old patient who died in the past few hours. The assessment of brain death was carried out by a special medical commission which thus allowed the multidisciplinary team from Modena to carry out the organ removal, in close coordination with the colleagues of the Ogliastra hospital.

The woman was hospitalized in the intensive care unit , whose staff coordinated the sampling and made it possible.

A great gesture of solidarity and civic value, that of the family, which allows life expectancy to be rekindled in another patient on the transplant waiting list.
