The Officials of the Customs and Monopolies Agency of Sassari, in service at the Territorial Operations Section of Alghero, seized a kilo of illegal food supplements during a check at Alghero airport.

They were found in the luggage of a Senegalese passenger coming from his country of origin via Milan.

These are 30 sachets of "Dietary Meal Shake - Repas Dietetique Frappè" - containing powdered milk and milk derivatives produced in Malaysia - without their original packaging. Furthermore, the labeling shown on the individual sachets did not contain an indication of the nutrients or other substances that characterized the product, therefore in violation of the Community regulations on transport and importation into the EU territory.

The appropriate provisions will be triggered for the passenger, while the products have been subjected to seizure, confiscation and destruction by customs officials.
