Laconi is left without a primary care physician. This news comes as a shock to the community, which will have to contend with an empty clinic in the coming days. Mayor Salvatore Argiolas raised the alarm in an official notice to residents.
"Patients of Dr. Elena Sergheeva are advised," the statement reads, "that she will not be in the clinic in the coming days due to the non-renewal of her contract with the Oristano Local Health Authority." This situation, the municipal administration emphasizes, occurred without any prior consultation with the local community. "No official communication has reached the municipal offices," the mayor explains, "and in fact, in recent days, they sent a request for clarification to the local health authority without receiving any response."
The mayor announced immediate action to limit the inconvenience: "Starting tomorrow morning, we will try to contact the Oristano local health authority (ASL) to avoid further difficulties for our fellow citizens, who are increasingly forced to endure incomprehensible decisions imposed from above, without any involvement of local government."
"A healthcare system in complete disarray," Argiolas concludes bitterly, calling for rapid responses and concrete solutions.
