June at the Mut in Stintino: rich calendar of events

The month of June opens in Stintino June with the participation of the MuT Tonnara Museum in the 28th edition of the national event Open Monuments 2024 "Spaces for dreams", which will start today at 10am with the opening concert featuring the students of the secondary school classes in Stintino. It will be possible to visit the MuT on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd from 11am to 1pm and from 4pm to 7pm. Furthermore, in the museum rooms it will be possible to visit the photographic exhibition by Rita Vona, set up for the occasion, "I-Dea The butterfly woman" , dedicated to disabilities. The digital photographic exhibition "Photographic path in biodiversity around the Stretto di Stintino stronghold", curated by Alessio Rivola, will also be visible.
The Trans-Mediterranean Zoonosis Prevention Surveillance Network Workshop will take place from Monday 3 to Wednesday 5 June, organized by the Lancaster Ecology and Epidemiology Group and the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Sassari.
On Saturday 15 June starting from 6.30 pm the Mut will host one of the stages of the fifth edition of the Sardina Archeo Festival, organized by the Itzokor cultural association. This year's theme is "The imagined Mediterranean" and the evening in Stintino will be dedicated to the memory of Marco Rendeli, a distinguished historian and archaeologist from the University of Sassari who died prematurely in 2022. Also on Sunday 16th the evening will be dedicated to history and archeology with the “GEP 2024”, the European Heritage Days. Starting from 6pm Gabriella Gasperetti, archaeological officer of the Superintendency of Archeology for the Provinces of Sassari and Nuoro, and Elisabetta Garau, archaeologist and professor of the University of Sassari, will hold a conference entitled "The Casteddu nuraghe of Stintino: research perspectives and valorisation".
The seventh edition of the "Stintino Prize for scientific dissemination" will take place on Saturday 22 June, starting from 6 pm. This year the prize will be awarded to Giorgio Parisi, Nobel Prize for Physics 2021. The month of June will end with the musical review, “Nessun dorma… sotto le stelle della opera 2024”, created by the Ars Aurelia association in union with the Contrapunctum Association. From the 20th to the 27th the museum will have the honor of hosting concerts of opera and classical music with artists of great national and international importance. Thursday 20 June at 9.30pm “Opera paintings” concert, organized by the artists of the “G. Martucci” of Salerno, coordinated by Maestro Grazia De Marco. Sunday 23 June at 9.30pm – ensemble trumpet concert, organized by the students of the advanced masterclass of maestro Andrea Lucchi. Tuesday 25th at 9.30pm opera concert “Donne, donne eterni dei”. Wednesday 26 June at 9.30pm opera concert by the students of maestro Giulio Zappa's Masterclass. Thursday 27 June at 9.30pm “Bella Napoli” concert. Repertoire ranging from opera to the famous Neapolitan song.
