The former president of the Court of Cagliari, Francesco Sette, 81 years old, died on Thursday evening at the Monserrato Polyclinic , but the Prosecutor's Office opened a file yesterday morning on the cause of death with the hypothesis of manslaughter after a complaint presented by the family .

Only in the next few hours will the prosecutor on duty, the deputy prosecutor Ginevra Grilletti, decide whether to order an autopsy and ask a medical examiner to ascertain the causes of death, as well as whether there are any responsibilities of the doctors for what happened. For the moment nothing has transpired regarding the complaint presented by the family. The former magistrate, well known throughout Sardinia, retired in December 2015.

Francesco Sette, born in Macomer in 1942, had come to preside over the Court of the capital, but before that he had distinguished himself for his balance and ability to judge in the highest seat of the Court of Assizes. For half a century, before reaching the top of the Cagliari judicial offices, he had worked in almost all the offices of the judicial judiciary : from magistrate to judge for preliminary investigations, then moving on to the Surveillance Court and leading the criminal sections.
