The kids from the Auschwitz Reminder project fell silent when they crossed the threshold of Krakow's museums. An experience that began last weekend which is leaving a profound mark on them and which they never imagined could have such a strong impact.

The group of 36 young people, accompanied by the mayor of Tortolì, Marcello Ladu, represents almost all the municipalities of Ogliastra, an area which, through the commitment of Plus, has embraced the initiative of Deina, a social promotion association that creates educational courses of participation and active citizenship for young people.

«We are happy and proud that the initiative undertaken has been successful. We are sure - is the comment of Irene Murru, councilor for social services of Tortolì - that the children will return with a richer cultural background but, above all, with the awareness of having touched a page of history first hand which we hope will be unrepeatable". The representative of the municipal administration is confident in the educational benefits of the trip: «We hope that these young people will become bearers of peace already in small gestures and driving forces to improve our society».
