Investigations tightened in Ogliastra to shed light on the murder of the 38-year-old farmer Riccardo Mucelli, killed last January 12 in the countryside of Jerzu.

The carabinieri of the Jerzu Company have carried out today and in recent days numerous house searches aimed at searching for the weapon used for the crime.

Specifically, from the early hours of the morning, the Arma soldiers carried out several house searches in Gairo and other centers in search of unreported weapons or in any case illegally detained. The operations were carried out with the support of the Canine Nucleus of the "Cacciatori di Sardegna" Helicopter Squadron, of the personnel of the Squadron Department of Nuoro and of the Carabinieri Company of Lanusei. Strict confidentiality is maintained on the outcome of these searches.

On January 12, Muceli, after looking after his cattle, in the locality of Pelau, got on the wheel of his van, immediately hit by two shots from a 12-gauge shotgun, loaded with buckshot, exploded at close range. In short, a premeditated murder.

With the investigations that, after almost three months, could be at a turning point.
