Cleaning lady or thief? On Saturday morning in Ittiri, a woman was arrested by the Carabinieri after a passerby, suspicious of the activity at a rehabilitation center, closed the shutter from the outside, preventing the woman inside from leaving.

The police then intervened, and the woman justified herself by claiming she was there to clean . However, thefts had occurred in the same place in the previous days, and the police arrested her even though the suspect was wearing a cleaning company T-shirt. She also claimed to have swapped shifts with a colleague, a claim the latter denied.

Today in Sassari court, Judge Antonio Spanu, as requested by prosecutor Giovanni Porcheddu, ordered the 40-year-old suspect, represented by attorney Gabriele Sechi, to confirm her arrest and require her to report to the Carabinieri station. The first hearing in the trial will be held on December 18th.
