Battle won. The social appeal launched in recent days by Maria Luisa Scanu has achieved its objective: from Ittiri it has arrived in the offices of the Province of Sassari and from tomorrow, her daughter Giorgia Pinna, 17 years old, will finally be able to return to school, thanks to the restoration of bus service for children with disabilities.

News welcomed with satisfaction by the girl's mother, suffering from a type three form of autism who, for weeks, had been forced to travel from Ittiri to the capital only if accompanied by family members, with all the logistical difficulties involved.

The tender for the provision of school transport was abandoned, leaving Giorgia and other children stranded. Among the countless inconveniences for families, forced to take work permits and holidays just to take their children to lessons.

And in an atmosphere of satisfaction, it was Scanu herself who announced the resumption of the service.

«Finally», explains the mother, «we were told that the transport service will start again from tomorrow. Giorgia and many young people who were forced to stay at home will thus be able to return to school, together with all their peers. We are happy for this long-awaited return to normality."
