Cagliari is in tenth place among the cities with the best climate in Italy . In first place in the ranking published today by Sole 24 Ore and updated with data provided by 3bmeteo relating to the decade 2013-2023 is Bari .

The Apulian capital enjoys eight and a half hours of sunshine a day, nine days of extreme rainfall a year, 67 days of rain out of 365, only 158 days a year outside of climatic comfort, i.e. with humidity above 70 or below 30% and a summer breeze of 7.2 knots average daily.

Cagliari enjoys 8.6 hours of sunshine a day, 86 days a year with perceived temperatures above 30 degrees. There are on average 61 rainy days per year, 18 of which are characterized by extreme precipitation. The annual days outside of climatic comfort are 201, the summer breeze is identical to that of Bari, 7.2 knots on average daily. The Sardinian capital collects a total score of 692, Bari 768.3.

In second place for the best climate is Imperia, then almost all the cities of the central-south in the top ten: Barletta-Andria-Trani, then Catania, Pescara, Livorno, Chieti, Brindisi, Agrigento and, finally, Cagliari.

Among the cities with the best climate - but not with the best environmental conditions - the coastal areas stand out. On the opposite side, at the bottom of the ranking there is once again Belluno , last in the sunshine index (just 6.7 hours of sunshine per day, against a national average of 7.8), characterized by cold days ( 23.6 on average every year with maximum perceived temperature less than 3° C); second to last for high relative humidity, a total of 255 days a year. The number of rainy days is also high, 118 per year with at least 2 millimeters of cumulative precipitation, more frequent only in Lecco where the average for the decade reaches 122 days.

Furthermore, in the last ten places in the ranking, there are several centers in the Po Valley which are positioned along the axis of the Po, including Alessandria (106/a), Pavia (105/a), Cremona (104/a), Piacenza (102/a), Lodi (101/a), Asti (100/a) and Ferrara (99/a). In particular, Rovigo is the area with the most foggy days, over 57 per year.
