There is the Amanita Rubescens, edible after boiling and cooking, the Phalloid, poisonous and deadly. But also the Chiomato Agaric, edible and "excellent". There are as many as 130 different mushrooms from yesterday (until Monday) on display at the ExMu in Villaputzu, the old town hall in Piazza Marconi.
It is the second edition of "The mushroom exhibition" organized by the Pro Loco led by Adriano Sanna in collaboration with the Municipality and the Amesm association. Numerous visitors both yesterday and today.
Furthermore, a culinary competition is scheduled for this evening: four restaurateurs from Sarrabus will cook a second course based on mushrooms.
A jury of seven people will decide the winner. «Three important days – underlines the mayor of Villaputzu Sandro Porcu – to deepen our knowledge of the area and highlight the importance of the economic activities of Sarrabus».
