In Senorbì, associationism never goes out of fashion. In the town of Trexenta, social promotion initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens, in particular children and the elderly, are constantly increasing. The celebration of the Senorbì associations, with the mass in the parish celebrated by Don Giancarlo Dessì, was an opportunity to renew the social commitment implemented by the retired Carabinieri, Aias, Sant'Isidoro Civil Protection, Confraternita, Caritas, Fraternità della Misericordia, Pro loco, Pensioners and University of the Third Age.

Pompeo Formato, president of the national carabinieri association (founded by Carlo Sanna in 2002), reiterated the importance of synergy and mutual collaboration. "Our work has always been appreciated by citizens and authorities, for this reason it is right to thank each volunteer who freely dedicates their time and energy to the community", said Formato.

The headquarters of the association is in Piazza Municipio, in a room (right under the municipal offices) granted to volunteers on loan for use by the city administration. «In Italy and around the world there are 1700 carabinieri associations, 32 of these are located outside our nation, the others are all in Italy - continued President Formato -, in addition to having volunteered in religious processions, controlling and supervising on road traffic, from 2002 to today we have carried out daily service in front of elementary and middle schools to guarantee safety for students and regulate traffic, we have also escorted middle school, elementary and nursery school students who had to carry out educational activities outside outside the school."

A synergy of intent has long been created between the various Senorbì associations and continues to bear fruit. «Our volunteers carry out an important job of supporting the institutions and supporting the population, not only in Senorbì but in the entire Trexenta territory», underlines the mayor Alessandro Pireddu.
