Three people—a man, his daughter, and her boyfriend—were arrested in Sassari for attacking police officers who had responded to an apartment in the Monte Rosello neighborhood to break up a domestic dispute. One of the officers involved was kicked in the chest and suffered a fractured sternum.

THE FACTS – It all happened last night, around 8:00 PM: a patrol car from the Flying Squad responded to a report of an argument: a boy was having a violent argument with his mother. While the officers attempted to break up the fight, the boy's girlfriend, accompanied by her father, arrived at the apartment . The two began arguing heatedly with the police, so much so that one of the officers pulled out a taser to keep the man at bay.

The girl, a minor who practices martial arts, lunged at the policeman and kicked him in the chest, causing a fractured sternum, as mentioned.

Further police and Carabinieri patrols then arrived on the scene. The girl, her father, and her boyfriend were arrested for resisting arrest, assault, and assault on a public official and taken to the police station.

This morning, defended by lawyers Marco Salaris and Gabriella Pinna Parpaglia, the three appeared before the judge of the Sassari Court for a fast-track hearing.
