Cutting, harvesting and many selfies in the enormous purple field: a fragrant paradise to be admired. From yesterday until Sunday, in the enormous expanse of lavender that Elvio Sulas from Riola decided to plant in his own vineyard way back in 2003, the traditional event which attracts many people every year has been underway.

Yesterday the first day took place, today and tomorrow the second and third, from 9am to 1pm. Yesterday many tourists from northern Italy, Poland and England reached the camp. There will not only be a moment dedicated to cutting and harvesting lavender, but also a series of cultural events designed to raise awareness of what is increasingly being defined as Sardinian Provence. To participate you do not need any reservation. The Sulas family will be present to explain everything that is produced by this plant, from essential oil to honey, from cosmetics to soaps.

Last year the camp hosted around 3 thousand people. A success that increases year after year thanks also to social media. Today, in the late afternoon, there will be the "Pasta & Lavender" workshop curated by Vittoria Arimani. From 6.30pm to 9.30pm "Calici al Sunset" is scheduled, an aperitif in the lavender field with musical accompaniment by a saxophonist, on the evening of July 7th there will be the presentation of the book "Wild figs and fennel" by Letitia Ann Clark .
