A road accident occurred this morning on provincial road 55 Porto Conte-Capo Caccia, on the straight stretch preceding the roundabout for Maristella.

According to an initial reconstruction, a Fiat Panda travelling in the direction of Capo Caccia collided on the right rear side with a Mercedes travelling along the same stretch of road .

After the impact, the Panda lost stability, ending up off the road and overturning into the ditch.

Firefighters, 118 paramedics, and local police officers responded to the scene, carrying out surveys and regulating traffic during rescue operations and securing the roadway.

One person was injured and was treated by ambulance personnel. His condition is not serious.

The accident caused delays along the provincial road, particularly busy with vehicles heading towards Capo Caccia and the villages of Porto Conte.
