Investigation into the Sardinian heiress: Prosecutor's Office finds no evidence of a rigged marriage

The investigation into the marriage between a Siniscola businesswoman and the very wealthy Monegasque banker Adalberto Miani (who were married in Olbia in December 2022) has reached a turning point. Tempio's public prosecutor, Alessandro Bosco, has requested the dismissal of the case into the relationship between the businesswoman and the Monegasque financier of Lombardy origins. The woman had been accused of exploiting, abusing, and manipulating the elderly man (who died in 2024). The prosecutor, however, ruled out any criminal charges and granted the requests of criminal lawyer Francesco Furnari. The lawyer provided the Gallura magistrates with medical certificates from specialists at clinics in the Principality of Monaco, the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, and, in particular, from a specialist at the Olbia Local Health Authority (Alzheimer's Center). All certificates attest to Miani's full mental capacity and his mental health (following medical examinations performed in 2022 and subsequently until his death in 2024). Lawyer Francesco Furnari also reportedly provided documents demonstrating Miani's conscious choice and his (unmanipulated) desire to marry the Sardinian entrepreneur. Furnari declined to comment on the request for dismissal. The woman's lawyers had already obtained the lifting of the "freezing" (a civil measure) on part of the inherited assets "to protect the deceased's estate." The lawyers for the banker's children are examining the request for dismissal for further and imminent action.
