In front of Assemini, one of the two cars was stolen: the driver fled

After the collision with another car he ran away without helping the other driver who was injured.

The accident took place last night in Assemini . A man driven Fiat Punto collided with a Ford Ka. The first car did not stop and the driver left. The injured , a 35-year-old who was trapped in the cockpit and freed by the fire brigade, was rescued by an ambulance and taken to Brotzu hospital in yellow code.

The carabinieri of Cagliari Stampace and San Bartolomeo intervened on the spot and ascertained that the Punto had just been stolen and the owner, from Carbonia, had not yet noticed the theft.

Investigations are underway to trace the identity of the man behind the wheel.
