The Municipality remembers Felicina Piano , the woman who died due to the terrible flood that hit Capoterra between 12 and 13 November 1999.

This morning the municipal administration went to the square that bears the name of the forty -two year old who lost her life twenty-three years ago due to an unprecedented calamitous event that hit the town.

The mayor, Beniamino Garau, placed a bouquet of flowers in front of the plaque , and announced that a date will soon be established to remember all the victims of the storms that hit Capoterra: "The disappearance of Felicina Piano is still a open wound, we all have a duty to remember you and our other fellow citizens who lost their lives in similar circumstances. In order not to forget them, as I announced in the City Council, the last Sunday of October of each year will be a day of mourning for us".
