Remaking of squares and streets, the Municipality of Cagliari plans new interventions . In recent days the council, chaired by mayor Paolo Truzzu, has dismissed three resolutions that go precisely in the direction of urban redevelopment of the capital.

Thus the mayor: «We have in fact approved the preliminary project of Viale Merello, which will allow on the one hand to preserve the plants and on the other to guarantee pedestrian access» , explains Truzzu. "We are waiting for the government to materially transfer the resources to carry out the executive project and to announce the tenders".

With the other two resolutions, the executive instead approved the final redevelopment projects of via Roma and viale Trieste first lot, from piazza del Carmine to via Pola.

«We have also banned the tenders and the works will be awarded by 31 December, with the hope of being able to start the works between the end of January and the beginning of February», concludes Truzzu. «We all know that the bureaucratic machine is complex, regardless of anyone's will. I remember that Viale Merello and Viale Trieste were, in the summer of 2019, among the first resolutions of the new administration and only a few days ago we managed to close the entire administrative process. However, thanks to everyone's collaboration, with new ideas, courage, patience and daily work, the objectives set to give a new face to the city can be achieved".
