Cagliari becomes a startup-friendly city thanks to the agreement signed between Sardegna Ricerche and the Municipality. A collaboration agreement to support the most innovative companies in testing their technological solutions in a real environment such as that of the city, as well as collecting data and verifying the functionality of what has been studied.

«The collaboration agreement is a further important piece in the startup support program that Sardegna Ricerche has built over time thanks to a consultancy service and specific financing lines», underlined Maria Assunta Serra, general director of Sardegna Ricerche.

«I am happy to confirm a strategic alliance with Sardegna Ricerche that is based on common visions . Cagliari is a city that historically lends itself to technological innovation", highlighted the mayor Paolo Truzzu.

We start with Rainapp, the startup that created the intelligent manhole capable of reporting flood risk in real time and suggesting alternative routes to motorists in the event of road flooding. The company that fights against the dangers linked to heavy rains will therefore be able to start testing the smart manhole by coordinating with the municipal offices and the entire civil protection system.
