Artichokes in oil, cheese, dried sausage. And much more. Gerrei products in a solidarity shop opened in Cagliari on Via Sant'Ignazio. It's the first physical space for Terre Ritrovate, the network that connects producers, communities, and citizens, promoting a development model based on sustainability, the valorization of local products, and the care of local areas.

Together, forty producers are ready to share their stories at meetings, tastings, and workshops. It won't just be a shop—the initiative's promoters explained—but a permanent hub fostering connections between people, regions, and communities, creating authentic relationships and supporting a local economy founded on quality, sustainability, and social responsibility.

"This workshop," explained the Archbishop of Cagliari , Giuseppe Baturi , "is proof that it is possible to combine work with solidarity, quality with ethics, innovation with respect for tradition. Caring for the land means caring for the communities that inhabit it, building together a future where no one is excluded and where the common good prevails over individual interest."

Also present were Don Marco Lai , director of the diocesan Caritas of Cagliari, and Costantino Palmas and Marco Dettori, scientific directors of the Agris Caritas protocol from which Terre Ritrovate was born.

"The opening of the shop," said Don Lai, "represents a concrete sign of a different way of understanding the economy, capable of combining quality, sustainability, a connection to the local area, and attention to relationships."

A project that seeks to retain younger generations in Gerrei to combat the depopulation of inland areas. "We will continue," Palmas said, "to support the work of the most vulnerable producers, who passionately protect and enhance the beauty of the biodiversity of our inland territories. Together with them, we will continue to care for the health of the soil, a crucial pillar of a healthy Mediterranean diet."
