Passengers on the GNV ferry recover from illness off the coast of Sardinia

Late yesterday evening, a 48-year-old French passenger, who had felt ill, was rescued by the Coast Guard on the GNV passenger ship "La Suprema," sailing along the Tunis-Genoa route, approximately 30 miles off the coast of Sardinia.

The operations room of the Arbatax Coast Guard intervened with the SAR patrol boat CP811, which carried out a transfer and took the man to the port of Arbatax, from where he was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Lanusei.
