A group of cyclists was hit by a car during a tour on the road to Monte Rasu, in the municipality of Porto Torres . The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the impact without providing assistance.

The accident occurred this morning at 8:30 a.m. in Pauledda. According to initial reports, the two injured cyclists, both from Porto Torres, were riding along provincial road 25 when, suddenly, a car reversing suddenly appeared on a bend in the road and struck the two men , knocking them to the ground.

Both were taken to the emergency room of the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari with yellow status. One of the injured cyclists, fortunately without serious consequences, is former Porto Torres City Councilor Davide Tellini, an expert cyclist who has been passionate about the sport for years. The fall reportedly resulted in some abrasions to his legs and arms.

The 118 ambulance and the Carabinieri radio unit from the Porto Torres company responded to the scene, working to reconstruct the accident and determine the driver's responsibilities.
