Two loads of suspect vegetable seeds entering Italy, at Alghero airport . This is what the officials of the Customs Agency discovered, in two separate operations and in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza.

2.150 kg of African okra okra from Albania and 170 grams of seeds of African plants from Ethiopia, without packaging and label and without health certification, have been seized.

The seizure was carried out as a protective measure against the introduction and spread in the European Community of organisms harmful to plant products.

These are precautionary seizures, pending the hygienic-sanitary opinion of the Regional Department of Agriculture and agro-pastoral reform.
