A 48-year-old and a 61-year-old from Villacidro reported by the Carabinieri for illegal possession of weapons. The first will also have to answer for crimes related to drugs.

During a search, the military found a dog repellent in the 48-year-old's house, a perfect imitation of the Beretta 92 used by the police, as well as 35 12-gauge rifle cartridges and 30 pellet cartridges, illegally detained. Furthermore, thirteen Indian hemp seedlings were found, planted in terracotta pots, together with packaging material.

During an inspection in a wooden shack owned by the 61-year-old, however, a 12-gauge over-and-under shotgun, an air rifle and six 12-gauge cartridges were found, including one with buckshot. These weapons were held in a different place from the one where they had been reported, among other things stored in an unsafe manner and therefore exposed to possible theft.

The searches took place following roadside checks: the 48-year-old had been stopped driving his car and, from the investigations, it emerged that he was without a driving license because he had never obtained it.

The 61-year-old, on the other hand, had been stopped on board a moped, without insurance coverage.

Both vehicles were therefore subjected to administrative detention.
