Ilbono, head-on collision on the main road: three people in hospital
The two cars were destroyed. The injured were taken to Our Lady of Mercy in Lanusei
Road accident on state road 198, between Tortolì and Ilbono. At the crossroads leading to the shooting range, two cars collided head-on and the three people (all from Ilbono) who were in them were injured. A young couple and a 63-year-old man were involved.
The impact, shortly after 9pm yesterday, occurred between a Volkswagen Golf, headed towards Tortolì, and a Fiat Panda which was proceeding in the opposite direction. The exact dynamics of the accident remain to be ascertained.
The carabinieri of the Lanusei company, the town's firefighters and the 118 crews intervened on site and rescued the injured by transporting them to the Nostra Signora della Mercede hospital in Lanusei. They suffered trauma but their conditions are reassuring. Traffic was slowed down for a long time on the state road. Both cars destroyed.
