These are the charges against a man resident in Iglesias, arrested at dawn today by the Carabinieri of the Operational Nucleus of the Iglesias Company, supported by anti-drug canine units and a team from the Sardinian Hunters Squadron.

The provision, issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Cagliari , arises from a complex investigative activity started in 2023 and coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office.

"According to what was ascertained - the investigators explain -, the suspect allegedly took advantage of the drug addiction and vulnerability of a girl who was a minor at the time, inducing her to perform sexual services towards him and other individuals, in exchange for small sums of money and doses of drugs . The searches and analyses of the seized computer material also brought to light numerous messages in which the man boasted about the ease with which he was able to obtain such "favors", explaining in detail the methods of the meetings and expressing his intention to extend the circuit of people involved . Explicit images and videos of sexual content, with the presence of minors, were also found on the computer devices".

Given the seriousness of the alleged conduct and the concrete risk of repetition, the Judicial Authority ordered the measure of custody in prison. Therefore, the suspect, after the arrest, was transferred to the penitentiary of Uta.
