"Irregularities in food storage, lack of adequate traceability for some fish products, and poor hygiene and sanitation in food preparation areas." These are the findings of officers from the Port Authority's Fisheries Area Control Center during an inspection conducted at an ethnic restaurant in downtown Cagliari in collaboration with the local police and local health authority staff.
During the inspection , illegal occupation of municipal land and management of fumes and odors that did not comply with regulations were also detected.
"Following the investigations," a statement from the Coast Guard explains, "a total of five administrative fines were imposed regarding the traceability of food products, the management of fumes and odors produced, and poor hygiene and sanitation conditions. Approximately 100 kg of products were seized ."
"In light of the serious deficiencies found and to protect consumer health," the Coast Guard continues, "a temporary shutdown of operations has been ordered, with subsequent suspension of operations until the conditions required by law are restored."
