An accident marked the first day of wild boar hunting. In the Alto Oristano countryside, a 40-year-old from Ghilarza was injured by a ricocheting ball that hit him in the shoulder. His companions immediately called for help, the man was accompanied to the hospital by 118 and, after various checks, he was discharged late in the evening.

The accident occurred in the Aidomaggiore countryside, in the Monte Nieddu area. According to an initial reconstruction, the 40-year-old together with his father and other friends were taking part in a wild boar hunt, on the opening day of the big game hunt, when one of his companions - a man born in 1960 from Borore - shot at the animal but the the ball ended up on a rock and ricocheted and hit his friend.

There were moments of fear, the 118 intervention was immediate and the 40-year-old was transferred to hospital. The carabinieri from Ghilarza's company were also on site and immediately started investigations to reconstruct what happened.
