Bad misadventure for a hunter, attacked by a wild boar during a hunt in the countryside of Erula .

The accident in the afternoon, around 5.30 pm, in a wooded area not far from the small town of Anglona.

The 68-year-old man was injured in the leg. The animal suddenly rushed at him and the hunter fell to the ground bleeding. The aggressive boar hit him in the lower limbs .

The health workers of the 118 of Chiaramonti Soccorso intervened on the spot and gave him the first treatment. The hunter was transported by ambulance to the Tempio emergency room and later transferred to the hospital in Olbia where doctors found injuries to the back of his thigh. Fortunately, he managed to remove the animal to avoid far more serious consequences.

Aggressions against humans by the so-called “solenghi” boars, solitary ungulates that are often found walking around the countryside in search of food, are increasingly frequent.
