Employees forced to arrive hours early to find a free spot, while directors have reserved parking spaces. This is because hundreds of parking spaces at Brotzu have been closed since last October 23, when a part of the structure of the wooden shelters of the photovoltaic system of the San Michele Hospital - about 7 meters long and weighing tens of kilograms - fell on a car, damaging it. The parking spaces are now inaccessible "for urgent and unavoidable maintenance work", but Usb Sanità reports that "the management of Arnas Brotzu has not yet given any response to our complaint of October 23" .
"At Brotzu there are Series A and Series B employees", reports Gianfranco Angioni of Usb Sanità. " Having established that work is in progress, there is no sign of the opening of the construction site . It was possible to verify from an inspection that the workers who are carrying out the work are inserting plates to support the existing structures. It does not appear, however, that any checks are underway on the state of the wood and the rotting it has suffered due to the elements over the years". The union is asking for maintenance to be carried out on the structures and the wood .
"In several circumstances we have reported the danger for staff and external users in the ticket entrance, where the metal plates on the flooring are completely rusted", adds Angioni, with Usb Sanità asking for "a careful and timely inspection of the state of the external structures and appurtenances, aimed at ensuring safety for employees and users". But, above all, immediate intervention on parking while waiting for the end of the work: "Privileges should be stopped and all parking spaces reserved for directors, most of the time free, should be made available so that all workers have the same rights" .
