African heat with the hours numbered : it is still early to say goodbye to summer, but the Atlantic perturbation arriving in Italy at the weekend will bring rain to Sardinia as well from tomorrow with temperatures that will drop by as much as 10-15 degrees from Monday .
An abrupt thermal downsizing , confirmed by the weather office of the Decimomannu Air Force base: the Poppea cyclone will avoid the African anticyclone Nero for a few days, including the skies of the island.
Poppea, which in the north will manifest itself with deluges and hailstorms , in Sardinia however will soon be just a memory: just long enough for a few gusts of mistral and on Friday the sun will shine again , with temperatures again between 30 and 35 degrees.
THE FORECAST – Everyone at the beach today, except for forecasts of clouds and rain. Then, starting tomorrow evening, we'll have to dust off the umbrella . "The disturbed area will initially affect Northern Italy, then it will descend here," says lieutenant Marco Ariu of the Decimomannu military base. «There will also be high and stratified cloud cover in our skies. Depending on the areas of Sardinia, it will rain. The rainfall will be more intense in the eastern sector, i.e. in Gallura, Ogliastra and Sarrabus».
On Monday "in the first part of the day the climatic situation brought by Poppea will continue", adds lieutenant Ariu. “But not all day. The disturbed area will have a rapid transit towards the Peninsula and, almost simultaneously, the mistral will enter our coasts ». For three to four days, therefore, wind and lower temperatures with a "drop in some areas of ten to fifteen degrees, especially in the central and northern geographical areas of Sardinia".
Once the influence of the mistral wind is over, the African anticyclone will regain its dominance in the Mediterranean area. And, with Nero, the heat will return, with temperatures «with peaks of up to 30-35 degrees».
