Hit and crushed by a truck: Sorso community in shock over Maria Loi's death

An unexpected tragedy that shocked the community of Sorso this morning .
Maria Loi , 72 years old , was hit and crushed by a truck while she was passing through a Q8 service station, a petrol station on Viale Cottoni, in the centre of town.
The heavy vehicle that provides services for the company that carries out urban hygiene activities, initially parked, was preparing to turn towards the distributor when the woman was hit. The 61-year-old driver did not notice the presence of the 72-year-old , who ended up under a wheel . There was nothing that could be done for the woman.
On site were the firefighters, the local police, two 118 ambulances and the Sorso Carabinieri.
Mayor Fabrizio Demelas has cancelled all events scheduled for today and the following days .
