The Sardinia Alpine and Speleological Rescue team in Dorgali managed to rescue a hiker in difficulty on the trail to Cala Luna only in the dead of night, at 3:15 a.m. The German man lost his bearings last night due to the onset of darkness.

The emergency call was forwarded to the 118 Operations Center, which immediately contacted the Alpine Rescue Center to initiate rescue operations . Two technicians from the Nuoro station and two from the Guardia di Finanza Alpine Rescue team arrived on site. After reaching the hiker and verifying his good health, they accompanied him back to his car parked in Buchi Arta.

Firefighters were also present on site.
