Intervention by the Forestry Corps on Monte Linas.

On Sunday evening, the distress call went out for a hiker who, while taking a walk in Monti Mannu, Muru Mannu waterfalls, had not returned with his group .
The patrol of the Villacidro Forestry Station, at that time on duty in the Gonnosfanadiga countryside, immediately went to the scene and tracked down the hiker near the premises of the Forestas construction site, in the Ovile Linas area.
The man was in good condition, albeit tired from having walked a lot trying to find his way back.
The Forestry Corps patrol then accompanied him to Monti Mannu, to the premises of the forestry construction site, where his family members were waiting for him.
The Forestry Corps «recommends that enthusiastic hikers always have suitable equipment and maps of the places, check the weather forecast and the time of sunset, carefully study the itinerary of the excursion and never leave their group. Useful information for all hikers is available by consulting the Sardegnasentieri institutional website ».
