Inspection week on the roads of Sardinia from 18 to 24 July.

The traffic police will be involved in the joint European “ Roadpol ” campaign called “ Truck & Bus ”.

The patrols located throughout the Sardinian territory will be engaged "in the checks of heavy vehicles used for the transport of goods, buses and vehicles intended for the transport of dangerous goods, both nationally and foreign, as well as in verifying the psychophysical state of drivers , compliance with speed limits, compliance with legislation on the transport of dangerous goods and all other road transport requirements indicated in the licenses ", in accordance with national and EU legislation.

Specifically, on Sunday 24 July the agents will be busy carrying out targeted checks on the buses circulating on the island.

The campaign, explained by the traffic police, “aims to raise road safety standards , involves all the Member States of the Union and therefore also Italy, with the exception of Greece and Slovakia. The objective remains that of reducing the number of road victims and road accidents in compliance with the European Action Plan 2021-2030 ”.
