A heavy downpour hit Carbonia around 1:00 PM today, causing the usual traffic disruptions. As always happens with heavy rainfall, the city was in a state of chaos: numerous roads were flooded, making travel difficult.

The hardest-hit areas were, once again, the lower stretch of Via Roma, where the water reached the level of the sidewalks, forcing several drivers to reverse, and the initial section of Via Dalmazia, which was also flooded.

As often happens, the intersection of Via Mazzini and Via Giovanni Maria Angioy was also flooded, where local police officers were forced to temporarily close the road to traffic while Athena Civil Protection volunteers cleared the area. There was also disruption on Via Gramsci, where a manhole cover fell out of place and fell onto the roadway.
