Heavy downpour in Alghero: manholes explode and traffic disruptions

Heavy downpour and flooding last night in Alghero . A water bomb hit the city from 10:30 pm on Tuesday, blowing up the manholes for collecting rainwater.

On social media, several images were posted of the streets transformed into rivers in flood, especially in the southern part of the city and on Viale Primo Maggio.

During the night the water slowly drained away, clearing the roads.
