The heat continues to make Sardinia gasp, with temperatures that will remain hot in the next few days.

The regional civil protection has in fact issued an alert bulletin for high temperatures and Cagliari is once again among the 20 Italian cities with the red stamp for heat waves.

But the whole island remains in the grip of the heat. "Starting at 10 am on Sunday 3 July - reads the Prociv alert - and up to 6 pm on Monday 4 July, the high temperature values will undergo a general and progressive spatial extension, resulting also very high, ie higher than 37 ° C and even greater than 40 ° centigrade ".

The "grill" which Sardinia is subjected to these days is confirmed by the weather office of the Decimomannu Air Force . "The temperatures, despite the presence of partial fog, will be very high until Monday - underline the experts - with values above 40 degrees in inland areas until Monday. Only on Tuesday there will be a very slight drop in temperatures".

The truce is therefore expected for the middle of next week, when the thermometer will settle between 32/34 degrees. Then from Friday a new lowering with another two degrees less.

FIRE ALARM - And, also in consideration of the very high temperatures, the alert also remains high for fires . In the last few hours there have been as many as 23 fires tamed in as many locations on the island.

In the seven most demanding fronts - in Monti, Sassari, Pabillonis, Suni, Serdiana and Siliqua - air vehicles also had to intervene, in support of the teams of the Forestry Corps and Civil Protection volunteers in action on the ground.

Several hectares of woods, pastures and Mediterranean scrub are on fire.
